Palazzo di Bocce

Entertainment Restuarant

Restaurant and Entertainment in Oakland County

Mr. Battaglia, the owner of Palazzo di Bocce,  retired in 1999 as chairman of commercial construction firm Cunningham-Limp, which he had co-owned since the late 1970s. Well… he got bored and decided to open up the Palazzo, an entertainment restaurant where he could play bocce whenever he pleases while enjoying fine Italian cuisine. The Palazzo has now been open for over five years and is known as one of the most spectacular indoor bocce ball locations. It is a great place where people can come and have some old school Italian fun and dining with their friends and families.

Detroit Lions' Tony Filippis Memorial Bocce Tournament fundraiser
Since 2004 the Detroit Lions' Tony Filippis Memorial Bocce Tournament fundraiser has been held at the Palazzo di Bocce in association with the Detroit Lions Inc. and the Athletes with Disabilities Hall of Fame.  More than $540,000 has been raised from the tournaments in the last three years.

This fundraiser  entails live and silent auctions with unique sports memorabilia; along with a exquisite Italian buffet and the chance to play in a bocce tournament with celebrities, like former and current Lions players.  Palazzo di Bocce donates the building, services, and food to this event and all of their proceeds from the event go to local charities in Lake Orion, MI. These charities include: L.O. Lions Club, Orion Veterans Memorial, FISH of Orion/Oxford Branch, Visiting Nurse Association of S.E. Michigan, and Assistance League of S.E. Michigan.  The event takes place in May every year.
